THE GROWTH OF PERFORMANCE “BANGKOK” CHICKEN AT THE STARTER PHASE GIVEN FEED IN LEVELS OF DIFFERENCE PROTEIN. This study was conducted to evaluate the levels of protein in ration affecting consumption, average daily gain, feed conversion and mortality of “Bangkok” chicken at the starter phase. Birds used in this study were 36 chicken at the age of 2 weeks old. Treatments in this study were rations with protein levels of 18 percents Ration A, 20 percents Ration B, and 22 percents Ration C.Variables observed were feed consumption g/h/d, Average daily gain g/h/d, feed conversion and mortality percents. Method of completely randomized design were applied in this study using 3 treatments with 6 replications at each treatment. Each treatment and replication was filled 2 chicken of “Bangkok” strain. Results of this study showed that protein levels of 18 to 22 percents in the diets did not affect feed consumption, average daily gain, feed conversion and mortality. Therefore, it can be concluded that the protein levels of 18 to 22 percents in the diets had the same responses in growing performance of “Bangkok” strain at starter Kunci“Bangkok” strain chicken, growing performance, protein levels. Pada penelitian ini dievaluasi pengaruh pemberian pakan yang mengandung tepung kulit ari biji kedelai fermentasi TKABKF terhadap kualitas semen dan spermatozoa ayam bangkok. Materi yang digunakan adalah 4 ekor ayam bangkok berbobot 3,3kg sebagai sumber semen dan spermatozoa yang dievaluasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap RAL dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan formula pakan terdiri atas pakan komersial BP-11 sebagai kontrol P0, BP-11+5% TKABKF P1, BP-11+10% TKABKF P2, dan BP-11+15% TKABKF P3. Variabel yang dievaluasi meliputi karakteristik semen volume, warna, bau, konsistensi, dan pH semen dan spermatozoa konsentrasi, pergerakan massa dan motilitas spermatozoa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata volume semen adalah 0,41ml/ejakulasi; warna putih susu, konsistensi kental, bau khas dan nilai pH Sedangkan rata-rata konsentrasi spermatozoa adalah 1,51 miliar/ml; gerakan massa 2,50 dan rata-rata motilitas spermatozoa 86,00%. Selanjutnya hasil analisis varians menunjukkan bahwa penambahan TKABKF ke dalam pakan berpengaruh nyata terhadap volume semen ayam bangkok tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap variabel lainnya. Volume semen tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan P3 15% TKABKF yang secara nyata lebih tinggi dibandingkan volume semen ayam pada perlakuan kontrol. Akhirnya dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan TKABKF ke dalam ransum hingga 15% dapat meningkatkan volume semen ayam bangkok.... Apabila diberikan pakan yang mengandung energi tinggi maka konsumsi akan menurun sebaliknya, bila diberi pakan yang mengandung energi rendah, maka konsumsi pakan hariannya akan meningkat. Rataan bobot telur yang dihasilkan berkisar antara 37,24 – 39,15 g sedangkan rataan tebal kerabang yang dihasilkan berkisar antara 0,42 – 0,46 mm terhadap telur ayam Arab umur 5 bulan. Kata kunci Kualitas sensoris, ayam buras, jamu fermentasi ABSTRACT The objective of this research was to known sensory quality of meat carcass and bakso from four strain of native chicken whose receive fermented herbs. This study used four treatments G1-Native, G2-Bangkok, G3-KUB, G4-Bangkok Hybrid and three replications, each of them was observed by 20 panelists. During three months of observation, each treatment received same dosage and frequency of fermented herbs and also the number of commercial feed. The results showed that 1 the sensory quality of meat carcass revealed the differences in colour and acceptability but not in flavor and texture, and 2 the sensory quality of bakso revealed the differences only in colour, yet its absent in flavor, texture, and tenderness. To study this, 256 Yorkshire x Hampshire or purebred Duroc pigs kg were subjected to one of the eight treatment combinations 2 x 2 x 2 factorial of ambient temperature constant thermoneutral [24 degrees C] or high cycling temperature [28 to 34 degrees C], stocking density .56 or .25 m2/pig, and social group static group or regrouped at the start of wk 1 and 3 during a 4-wk experiment. The temperature regimens were imposed in two adjacent mechanically ventilated rooms, and each temperature was imposed in each room across two trials. Four barrows and four gilts were assigned to each of the eight pens in the two rooms, and they always had free access to water and a corn-soybean meal-based diet. Treatments were imposed after a 7-d acclimation period at 24 degrees C and .56 m2/pig. Weight gain and feed intake were measured weekly. The main effects of each of the stressors for 4-wk ADG and ADFI were significant P oC, in addition to a variable-natural temperature, 24 - 28 ± 2°C in the open-sided poultry house. At the end of the experiment, a representative sample was randomly selected from each treatment and exposed to heat tolerance test at 40±2oC in the environmental physiology lab. The results showed that, growth rate, body gain, feed consumption and feed efficiency were significantly poC and variable-natural temperature in open-sided environment. The heat tolerance test showed that, broilers reared at high environmental temperatures of 30 and 35±2oC had lower mortality rate and RITr than those reared at constant 25±2oC and variable-natural temperature 24 - 28oC in closed and open-sided environment, respectively. Finally, it could be concluded that, environmental temperature above 25oC has a significant p< negatively effects on the performance of 4-8 week-old broilers reared in open-sided poultry house particularly, during summer season. Moreover, it will increase the market age and increase the productive cost.
